Meguiar’s MotorEx presented by LMCT+ will be held on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2027.
Meguiar’s MotorEx will be held at Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale, Victoria 3032.
Meguiar’s MotorEx is one of Australia’s leading automotive events, bringing elite show cars, street machines, custom builds, major unveils, performance vehicles, drifting, dyno sessions, exhibitors and live entertainment together across one weekend.
The 2027 event will celebrate 25 years of MotorEx, with more than $100 million worth of vehicles, more than $50,000 in prizes and over 100 awards promoted across the event.
Gate times will be announced closer to the event.
Meguiar’s MotorEx operates across indoor pavilions and outdoor precincts throughout Melbourne Showgrounds.
Yes. Meguiar’s MotorEx is an all-ages event with vehicles, demonstrations, displays, shopping, entertainment and activities for the whole family.
Children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult.
Spectators
Spectator tickets will go on sale soon.
Register for early access and we’ll send you the ticket information before the general release.
You’ll be able to buy tickets through our official MotorEx website and authorised ticketing provider.
We recommend avoiding private messages, unofficial resale pages and unauthorised sellers.
We haven’t announced our 2027 ticket prices yet.
We’ll publish all ticket types, prices, age categories and booking fees when spectator tickets go on sale.
We’ll announce the complete ticket range when tickets go on sale.
Your ticket will give you access to the public event areas and attractions included with that ticket on its valid day or days.
We’ll confirm our 2027 child and youth ticket policy when tickets go on sale.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while inside Melbourne Showgrounds.
Tickets may sell out before the event.
We recommend buying early to give yourself the best chance of securing your preferred ticket.
Gate sales will only be available if tickets remain.
We recommend buying online before the event, as ticket categories may sell out and gate prices may differ.
Entrants
General entries for the 25th Meguiar’s MotorEx open on Wednesday 29 July 2026 (6pm AEST).
If you register for entrant early access, you will receive access before entries open to everyone.
You’ll enter through the Street Machine Shed.
The Shed is your online garage for managing your profile, vehicles, photographs, event applications, tickets and purchases.
Create or activate your Street Machine Shed profile, add your personal details and build your vehicle profile with clear photographs and information.
When entries open, select Meguiar’s MotorEx, choose your vehicle and entry category, complete the application and submit payment.
Entry prices vary between categories.
We’ll show you the price, entrant inclusions and available extras in the Street Machine Shed before you complete your application.
We accept applications from a wide range of vehicles, including elite show cars, street machines, custom classics, muscle cars, JDM and European builds, race cars, 4x4s, exotics and club vehicles.
Each MotorEx world has its own entry criteria and presentation requirements.
Our indoor entries form part of the curated pavilion displays and generally have stricter presentation, bump-in and display requirements.
Our outdoor categories are designed for selected street-driven, club, performance and community vehicles, with requirements varying between worlds.
No. MotorEx is a curated event, so submitting an application or paying an entry fee does not guarantee acceptance.
We may assess your application on vehicle quality, presentation, suitability, available space and the overall balance of vehicles within each world.
Our team will review your application before confirming your place.
Registration requirements vary between entry categories.
Every vehicle entered in BLAHST Real Street must be driven to MotorEx rather than transported into the display.
Yes. You can add multiple vehicles to your Street Machine Shed garage and submit a separate application for each one.
We’ll assess every vehicle individually.
Yes. Indoor space and places within each MotorEx world are limited.
We may close categories once their available allocations have been filled.
Entries will close on the advertised closing date or when the relevant category sells out, whichever happens first.
Don’t assume places will remain available closer to the event.

Only vehicles entered or selected for an eligible judged category will be assessed.
Judging categories, requirements, prizes and presentation standards will be available soon.
Festival Info
Melbourne Showgrounds is approximately seven kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD and is accessible by car, tram and bus.
Transport information will be available soon.
Yes. Take Route 57 between West Maribyrnong and Elizabeth Street in the city and get off at Stop 33, Melbourne Showgrounds.
Yes. Route 472 stops along Langs Road, while Route 404 stops near the corner of Epsom Road and Ascot Vale Road.
We’ll confirm whether direct services will operate for MotorEx closer to the event.
We’ll announce the 2027 spectator parking location, entry gate, price and operating hours closer to the event.
Bring your ticket, a charged phone, a payment card, weather-appropriate clothing and any personal medication you need.
We also recommend hearing protection, particularly for children and anyone sensitive to loud vehicles.
Prohibited items include alcohol, illegal substances, glass containers, weapons, knives, flares, pyrotechnics, laser pointers, drones, scooters, skateboards, bicycles, large flags, eskies, chairs and shelters.
We may include additional restrictions in our MotorEx Conditions of Entry.
Yes. We’ll have food and drink outlets operating throughout the event.
We’ll announce the final vendor and bar information closer to MotorEx.
Yes. You can purchase official MotorEx merchandise through our online shop.
We will also sell selected merchandise at the event while stocks last.

Yes. Melbourne Showgrounds is an accessible venue with inclusive access to buildings, facilities and services.
Worlds
We’ve divided MotorEx into 10 automotive worlds, each celebrating a different part of the modified and performance vehicle community.
Our 2027 worlds are Car Builders 4x4 World, All Japan World, Car Club World, Street Machine Custom World, Drift World, Dyno World, Performance World, LMCT+ Portelli World, BLAHST Real Street and Meguiar’s Superstars World.
Car Builders 4x4 World brings together off-road machines, modified four-wheel drives, tough daily drivers and trail-ready builds.
All Japan World celebrates Japanese vehicles, performance, styling, creativity and the community surrounding them.
Car Club World brings clubs and crews together with custom classics, muscle cars, tuners, lowriders and street-driven favourites.
Street Machine Custom World brings together Street Elite vehicles, muscle cars and standout custom builds in one curated showcase.
Drift World features experienced drivers, sideways demonstrations, stunt shows and selected passenger-ride experiences across the weekend.
Dyno World puts high-powered street and race vehicles on the rollers to compete for peak power and bragging rights.
Performance World brings together automotive brands, parts, products, tuning technology, equipment and performance specialists.
LMCT+ Portelli World showcases vehicles from Adrian Portelli’s collection, including hypercars, rare JDM builds, custom muscle cars and race cars.
BLAHST Real Street features modified muscle cars, custom classics, tuners and lowriders built to be driven.
Every Real Street vehicle must be driven to MotorEx.
Meguiar’s Superstars World brings champion street machines and custom builds from major Australian events together for a final showcase of craftsmanship, detail and innovation.
Yes. Major vehicle unveils will form part of our MotorEx program.
We’ll announce the featured vehicles and unveiling times closer to the event.
We’ll include all session times in our official MotorEx program.
We recommend arriving early for popular sessions, as viewing areas may reach capacity.
Passenger rides may be available through Drift World.
We’ll confirm availability, pricing, age requirements and booking arrangements with the 2027 program.

Exhibitors & Traders

Trade spaces are limited, so we recommend applying early.
MotorEx is suited to automotive parts, accessories, tools, technology, fabrication, detailing, insurance, finance, lifestyle, apparel and related businesses.
You’ll have the opportunity to launch products, meet customers and sell to an engaged automotive audience.
Trade pricing depends on your site size, location, structure, inclusions and operational requirements.
You’ll find our current rates and packages in the MotorEx Trade Pack.
You can submit a preferred location, but our team will make the final site allocation.
We consider availability, visitor flow, display requirements and the overall event layout.

Yes. Approved exhibitors may sell the products and services listed in their application.
All products must comply with Australian Consumer Law, venue requirements and event category restrictions.
Yes. Food and beverage businesses can submit an exhibitor or trader enquiry.
Additional food safety, licensing, venue and responsible service requirements may apply.
Shared or co-branded stands require our approval and must be declared during the application process.
We may not permit undeclared brands or subletting.
Yes. Melbourne Showgrounds requires exhibitors, contractors and event workers to complete the relevant site induction before attending.
We’ll send approved exhibitors their allocated bump-in and bump-out dates, times, gates and vehicle access instructions.
Please don’t arrive outside your allocated access period.
