Chris Bitmead’s ultimate version of the Falcon coupe, XBOSS, is set to be the star attraction at Meguiar’s MotorEx Melbourne (July 16-17, 2016). Following the pro tourer’s stunning debut at Detroit Autorama and subsequent inclusion in the coveted Great 8 showcase, the mind-blowing blue and grey two-tone hardtop was promptly packed into an Australia-bound container to make it back to Perth in time for the June 18-19 WA Hot Rod and Street Machine Spectacular – the last event that competitors can qualify for Meguiar’s Superstars and be eligible for Meguiar’s Super Six and the big one, Meguiar’s Grand Master – which includes the imposing 18kg masterpiece billet trophy and $10,000 cash prize!

From Perth, XBOSS is then racking up more frequent flyer points when it makes its way across to Meguiar’s MotorEx Melbourne. XBOSS made history in Detroit, in becoming the first Aussie-built vehicle to have the huge honour of making the Great 8 and be in the running for the Ridler Award – the event’s Best in Show trophy and arguably the world’s most prestigious custom car award. This combined with its unbelievable level of fabrication, detail and finish will no doubt make this incredible piece of automotive art one of the biggest drawcards at MotorEx’s highly-anticipated return to the Melbourne Showgrounds, Ascot Vale.
