At the end of my second week in 2014 and I can look back and say that Summernats was a success and look forward to notice the VIC Hot Rod Show and the Bathurst 12 Hour are both fast approaching. I can already ascertain that this is going to be another great year for MotorActive and our events program.
So I pulled it off!! Yep the stand at Summernats was great. It looked good and delivered for us something that we haven’t focused on for many years, a good demo area and great presence for MotorActive to exhibit all its brands on the one stand.
A recent introduction to new products like the DA Power System from Meguiar’s and 3M Designer Wraps with Knifeless Tape means you’ll find us doing more demo’s at the events we attend to show you how fantastic these new ideas are.
In addition to a great stand presence, seeing 3 House of Kolor cars unveiled was awesome!
For the Grand Champion award, 5 of the 8 cars competing were also running with House of Kolor paint and it was a close battle all the way to the finish line where the driving events pushed Henry’s FB to the overall winner.
I also got the rare opportunity to watch an entire Liqui Moly Burnout Masters Final up close and personal! What a thoroughly enjoyable experience seeing the guys we’ve supported or worked with on other events like, Steve Nogas, Gary and Jake Myers and Mick Brasher competing for the title. Congratulations to Mick Brasher for taking out the win!
That’s it for this year’s Summernats, and we’ve already started working on the plans for next year! Keep an eye out for us at the VIC Hot Rod Show later this month or at the Bathurst 12 Hour in February.
