The worldwide vinyl-wrapping trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon, if anything, it is evolving and getting bigger. We are seeing new colours, textures and designs come out all the time, allowing people the creative freedom to personalize their rides by themselves like never before.
So for the next installment in the “Do it yourself like a boss” ad campaign, we wanted to show just how easy it is to lay down some two-tone racing stripes using two Designer Wraps accessory packs and some DesignLine Knifless tape to cut the straight lines.
When it came to finding a suitable car, the only prerequisite was that we needed something tough. Pac Performance came to mind as they build some of Australia’s toughest rotaries. After speaking with George and Rocky, they told us that Steve Barnetts bright yellow RX3 coupe would be the ideal choice.
Coming up with the perfect colour combo to compliment the car isn’t always a easy task. There was already a look of black and carbon fibre on the car, so to compliment that, we decided on applying black carbon fibre. For the highlighting colour it was pretty simple! Steven Barnett is an Australian diver, who won a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics. So to give the car some Aussie flare, adding matte green as the highlighting colour over the yellow paint was the simple decision! Be sure to look out for this RX3 going for gold down the quarter mile.
