Lots of people who building show-stopping rides swear blind they’re going to drive the wheels of them, however few follow through. Not so Graham Laity, who debuted his divine pro-touring, House of Kolor AustraliaBrandywine ’69 Camaro, REEMED, in last year’s Freestyle RidesInauguration.
“They cost too much to leave in the shed,” says Graham who is being joined by his wife, Helen, on the drive from Bendigo up to MotorEx Sydney (July 25-26). The trip up the Hume will give the pair plenty of seat time to fully appreciate the 550hp, 7.0-litre (427ci) LS7 under the hood, the six-speed Tremec and the trick TCI suspension system. All of which works in harmony with the massive six-piston (rear) and four-piston (front) Wilwood brake system and huge 19×12 and 18×8.5 Rushforth wheels wrapped in sticky, circuit ready Nitto rubber.
“We’re going to arrive on Thursday, clean it Friday, then jump back in and head home Monday morning,” says Graham.
