Summernats 29 was yet again a massive event, with entrant and spectator numbers up on last year.
MotorEx would like to congratulate the reigning Meguiar’s Superstars Grand Master, John Saad who took out the event’s top accolade, Street Machine Summernats Grand Champion, with his incredible 1972 Mazda RX3. After last year’s disappointment of being sidelined by a trivial electrical gremlin when siting in the box seat, John was over the moon that FATRX3 performed flawlessly to finally score the coveted Grand Champion sword.
Meguiar’s MotorEx also stepped things up at Summernats 29, taking on a bigger, bolder presence that included a dedicated stand in the Meguiar’s Judging Pavilion. We were excited to be able to catch up with a number of loyal MotorEx entrants that dropped in to say hi. The stand was also retailing a select range Meguiar’s products to help owners keep their gleaming show stoppers looking their best.
We also took advantage of this greater presence to launch MotorEx Melbourne, 2016. This included handing out more than 2000 of the new MotorEx 2016 posters, plus an even greater number of information flyers. A host of eager applicants signed up over the weekend, taking advantage of the $50 early-bird MotorEx discount. Don’t fret if you didn’t catch us at Summernats, cut-off for the early-bird discount is March 14, so download the application form and secure the discount.
As for what’s installed for MotorEx 2016; the dedicated team is working tirelessly to ensure Australia’s most prestigious super-elite show maintains its world-class stature. Suffice to say, there will be an exciting array of new additions – so stay tuned.
