The 2014 MotorEx Cruise for Charity, Liqui-Moly Hunt for Horsepower, proudly brought to you by Dyno Dynamics saw a number of firsts. The friendly and helpful crew from Townsville Mechanical Services (TMS Racing) not only hosted the Queensland round of the competition, their twin-turbo, VE ute set 2014’s top number of 1187.5rwhp! This is the highest output ever recorded in the Liqui-Moly Hunt for Horsepower and the first time the national tittle has gone to Queensland. It was a great effort from TMS Racing, they were much deserved winners, congratulations! They now have ultimate bragging rights until Cruise for Charity 2015 kicks off! As the national winners, TMS Racing also pick up the winners cheque for $1000, to go with the bold, masterpiece billet trophy provided to each state winner by Lowe Fabrications. That $1000 should buy the TMS Racing crew plenty of Christmas cheer.

With a national title at stake, it was not surprising there was stout competition from each of the other states; Dave and his burnout Toyota Hilux, PRO PSI, did NSW proud with 870.0rwhp, closely followed by 813.5rwhp from Victoria’s Con from C&A Auto Fashion, in their turbo VF Commodore. Jose, from the Perth-based ITP Race Cars, showed his 2JZ Supra is no slouch spinning the rollers to the tune of 775rwhp.

Measuring such impressive, high-horsepower numbers was made possible courtesy of the Dynotech chassis dynamometer provided by national sponsor, Dyno Dynamics. All of the machines, at each of the events worked flawlessly, ensuring each competition ran smoothly and consistently.

This competition would not have been possible without Dyno Dynamics’ generous support and excellent machine. More so, MotorEx Cruise for Charity is elated to announce that Dyno Dynamics has already signed up for 2015. Even better, in 2015 we’re adding an exciting and significant, new dimension to Australia’s only national dyno competition. Look for the big announcement early in the New Year – it is sure to create a massive buzz and wet your horsepower appetite.
