Vicious Rumour Racing’s #49 Ferrari is out of the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour. It was an innocent victim and hit the wall, hard, up at McPhillamy Park after it was struck from behind by Steve Wyatt in the #77 AF Course Ferrari – after it and Dean Fiore in the # 71 Equity-One Audi R8-LMS Ultra had a coming together.

While the Equity-One Audi only sustained light panel damage, both the Ferrari’s sustained significant damage. AF Course are frantically repairing their F458 and are expected to make it back out.

Unfortunately the Vicious Rumour F456 has torn the mount for the lower control arm out of cast alloy section of the Ferrari’s chassis – which is major damage.

Phil Huges from Vicious Rumour stated, “This requires extensive disassembly of the vehicle to effect a safe repair. And Bathurst is not the place to be out testing anything that’s not 100 percent. Besides we came here pretty skinny and would have to beg, borrow and steal numerous other parts that we’re short of to complete the repair. So we’re done for the weekend.”
