It’s not every day you see 30-odd Ferrari’s rolling down the freeway. So you can imagine the looks on the local’s faces when the Victorian Ferrari Club began streaming into Wodonga for their annual Valentines Show ‘n’ Shine – the weekend of February 15-16, 2014.

The gathering included a host of modern Italian stallions along a number of classic Ferrari’s dating back to the 60s. The gathering at Junction Place and again at the old Wodonga Railway Station, offered the border town residents a rare and unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the incredible machinery and to chat with the friendly and enthusiastic owners of these classic Italian icons.

Some of the models on display included a 1970 Dino 246GT, 1974 Daytona, a few 430s, the mighty F12 Berlinetta plus the well-known 308GTS  – a model made famous by the hit 80s TV series, Magnum PI, staring Tom Selleck.

MotorActive happily provided special Meguiar’s wash and detailing kits for club members to assist them in safely (without scratching) cleaning away the inevitable dust and bug splatter accumulated from their run from Melbourne up to the Wodonga Rally Run. As well as detail their pride and joys to ensure they looked their gleaming best for the weekend’s displays and outings.

A great weekend was had by all members.

No doubt they were all still on a high after the Ferrari’s historic win at the 2014 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour win the week before.
