What a shock, the passing of Jack Trepanier.

Many would have known Jack as the father of Troy Trapanier from Rad Rides by Troy. What’s not common knowledge is that Troy is the third generation to become part of the Trepanier family mechanical business, which Jack had inherited from his father. Jack gave the family business, as well as Troy, an excellent grounding. Therefore it was natural that Jack would play such a pivotal part in establishing the father and son business; Rad Rides by Troy in 1995. Before helping Troy to take that business to the next level again. Jack would always greet you with a one liner, or joke. However that masked his hard work, clever skills and dedication to building the best and most and innovative cars on the planet.

Jack had a huge hand from the very early days of building Sniper right through to Rad Rides’ latest masterpiece, George Poteet’s Talladega, plus every car in between.

The pinnacle for innovation and finish is arguably First Love, the 2007 Ridler winner built by Rad Rides. However, Jack and Troy loved setting records at Bonneville (in cars like the 319mph Blowfish) where they could show all their engineering, building and performance skills.

Jack Trapanier was always a gentleman and one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure to meet. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, just remember one of those jokes, or ponder some of the cars, smile and remember a great guy.
