Victoria always puts on a a record attendance at Cruise for Charity and 2013 was no difference. 1783 cars turned out, braving the morning showers to raise $75,188.22 for Camp Quality! Meet points across Melbourne hosted the registration before kicking off on a stellar drive, stretching the legs of the much loved vehicles along for the day.
House of Kolor VIPs filled the venue from 8:00 am with some of Victoria’s hottest looking cars, including last years Hunt for Horsepower winner, Jason JET3LT, always a crowd favourite.
The team from MPW and Eye Candy always put on an amazing display, with over 20 workshop cars supporting the event.
Kosta from CRE8TIVE Trimming and Nick from Just Comm Parts are long time supporters of the event bringing their personal rides!
Kane and his beast, H8LAG certainly brought a crowd!
Kev traveled all the way from Sydney with his hall of fame trophy, putting his sweet looking VE on display.
Dyno Dynamics turned out in style running the Liqui-Moly Hunt for Horsepower with their Dynotech.
Con from C & A Autofashion brought out VFPSI, with a previously dyno’d power over over 1000 rwhp ready to take down the record. But with so much power, keeping the tyres from spinning seemed to be the issue and Con was able to make a huge 816.4 rwhp taking out the highest horsepower of the day.
The crowd at the dyno was 5 people deep all day, with some high figures and fantastic cars donating to raise money for Camp Quality!
Damien ‘Chubby’ Lowe from Lowe Fabrications trekked down from Sydney for one of his favourite events.
The Chubby’s Choice award, was presented to Daniel Lake with his gorgeous Commodore LAKERZ. Not only did Daniel bring out his car to support the event, he also donated $500 to Camp Quality!
Sam with MSGMH took out the first ever Miss Cruise for Charity, her fan club certainly made it well known in the crowd how much they love Sam and her pink VE SS!
Lardner Park hosted Cruise for Charity this year in style, with rolling green hills, plenty of space and the best facilities Cruise for Charity Victoria have ever had access to.
Traders out for the day included national sponsor Just Car Insurance, our very own team from Meguiars and Liqui-Moly. Tubular Suspension Systems and Wall Street Kustoms kept everyone entertained with their fantastic products and Lowe Fabrications had all the engine bay dress up parts any commodore owner could want!
