The west coast of Australia pulled out all the stops in Perth on Sunday the 27th October with over 612 cars cruising the streets of Perth. It is these cars that celebrated such a great cause and raised $26,090.17 for Camp Quality!
The lead car was none other than Cronic Customs customer Ryan’s tough Ford Cortina, flanked by Matt in his beautiful 64 Fairlane and Steve in his neck snapping candy red VE Commodore!
If you thought these were impressive, take a look at David’s VP SS which took out the Looks Good Goes Great Chubby’s Choice award, and rightly so!
With funds raised records being broken it was obvious the west oz crew were in it to win it, with the dyno records being smashed out of the park by Dean with his turbo VZ. Dean cruised into the event unsuspecting of any fellow driver, headed to the BYE Performance dyno and pumped out 920.9 rwhp, not only the highest in the events history but also a new record for the car, built by the team at Active Automotive!
Throughout the day, the team from Cronic Customs were showcasing their wares and skills with the Designer Wraps program at the stand.
The Cruise for Charity girls were present throughout the day doing give aways and joining in on the fun!
Unfortunately every event has its lows and this year it was hard to overlook the number of drivers deciding that safe driving was less of their concern and reverting to the horrid hoon stereotype. It is this type of behavior that puts a dampener on the event and attracts the unwanted attention many participants complain about. Lets all band together and leave this sort of behavior for the track, and not a charity cruise.
